GPU earnings: common questions
Each GPU model has a payout per GPU-hour from Kinesis's marketplace price book, paid in US dollars for every hour the GPU is rented. Vetted suppliers get a higher rate than community suppliers. The calculator starts from these rates, as of Oct 2026; type your own rate to compare.
The GPU model, how many hours a day it is rented, your electricity price, and your supplier tier. Power use depends on how hard the GPU works while rented, the rest of the PC or the shared rack server, and power supply losses. Card prices are optional; they add depreciation and a payback period.
Per hour, data center cards earn the most, led by the B300 SXM, B200 SXM, and H200 SXM. Among GeForce cards, the RTX 5090 pays the most. What you keep also depends on each card's power draw and your electricity price, so compare cards in the calculator.
The calculator estimates each machine's draw from the wall: the GPU between idle and full board power depending on load, the rest of the system near idle, plus power supply losses. It multiplies that by the rented hours over a 30-day month and your price per kWh. Preset prices cover Türkiye, South Korea, United States, Germany, Japan, China, India, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Russia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam, plus California and Texas, for homes, businesses, and industry where available, or you can enter your own price.
Vetted suppliers (data centers, partners, academia) earn a higher share than community supply. Vetting is optional: vetted supply must be hosted in a data center, KYC-verified, meet defined SLAs, and post a security deposit. Everyone else supplies as community, at the community rate.
No. Customers reserve your GPU for set windows to run their own workloads, and Kinesis pays a US dollar rate for every booked hour, so earnings do not follow coin prices or mining difficulty. As with mining, what matters is the payout minus electricity, which is what the calculator shows.
Apply to provide. You run Kinesis's provisioning script on Ubuntu or Windows, set an availability calendar, and pick Provider if you are a commercial data center, or Marketplace otherwise. Customers reserve prepaid windows, and you are paid for every 24 hours of compute delivered, in US dollars by default.
